Job Description
We have partnered with a marine OEM to deliver their search for a Project Engineer.

As Project Engineer, you will be the central link between the ship owner, yard, consultancies, class and the design team.

You should have experience of each of the phases of an engineering project and technical expertise to be able to manage the installation and or retrofit of large and complex deck equipment on ships.

The deck equipment is comprised of mechanical, structural, electrical and controls components.

As the title suggests this is part project management and part engineering. As well as technical competency, you will need to be able to demonstrate excellent planning, communication (written and spoken English) and problem solving, and have a good appreciation for the commercial implications of the decision you make or challenges you face.

It is expected that you will be educated to degree level in an engineering discipline and that you have delivered several similar projects in a variety of overseas shipyards.

Our client is able to sponsor a UK Work Permit for candidates who meet all of the above criteria - only candidates who meet all of the criteria will be selected for interview and or selection. Please ensure your CV shows your experience in all of these areas and attach a cover letter which describes why you feel you are suitable for the role.

We anticipate a large volume of applicants - we will only be able to provide detailed feedback to those who follow the above process and have relevant experience.
