Halcyon Recruitment has partnered with a major LNG company to perform the search for an LNG Commercial Assistant.
The long term and complex ownership model employed by LNG ship owners is corporately intensive. As a result, this is a highly numerical role with elevated business reporting and communication compared to other shipping sector's commercial operations jobs.
Working closely with, and mentored by a highly experienced Manager, you will be assisting with ongoing projects, acting as owners representative, monitoring assigned LNG vessel's commercial performance through close oversight of charter parties, ship management agreements, insurance and claims.
Supported by specialist departments, you will assist in providing regular reporting and oversight of expenditure vs budget and projected P&L, to internal stakeholders and external joint venture partners.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be keen to learn, highly motivated and have a good understanding of the commercial and operations side of shipping / maritime, ideally with a headline understanding of the LNG sector.
Those with tankers or gas commercial/ops experience will have an advantage, but applicants looking to switch from dry are also encouraged to apply.
