Our client is an established ship manager, looking for a Marine Superintendent to join their team managing the tanker fleet from their Shanghai office.
Ensuring the vessels under your management are operated in a safe, economical and effective manner, you will:
- Monitor the operational condition and performance of vessels
- Promote and develop a strong safety and environmental culture, plus energy efficiency awareness on board
- Support the crew on board with operational matters
- Ensure vessels are fully certified according to international standards and requirements
As a Master of tankers for at least two years, it is essential to have experience as a Marine Superintendent of tankers (oil, chemical, asphalt carrier) of at least one year.
Strong communication skills are essential, with fluency in Mandarin and English, as well as teamworking ability and you will enjoy travelling to vessels frequently.
Candidates already living in Shanghai or looking to return will be prioritised.
