This is an exciting opportunity for either a fresh Chief / Second Officer on Tankers or someone with relevant shore-based experience managing a fleet of LNG Tankers to join a growing organisation.
This role involves ensuring vessels comply with health, safety, environmental standards, and company policies. Key responsibilities include conducting audits, inspections, and safety assessments onboard, guiding vessels through compliance with international regulations and industry best practices, and handling inspections like SIRE and PSC/FSC. The position also entails advising on legislative changes, managing corrective actions for non-conformances, investigating incidents, evaluating crew performance, and monitoring vessel maintenance and service schedules. Additionally, the role involves managing vessel-related equipment services, overseeing budget control for deck stores and repairs, and assisting in vessel sales, purchases, and newbuild projects.
To be suitable for this role, you must be a COC Class 1 or 2 holder with sailing experience on tankers and at least 1 years’ experience as a Marine Superintendent in ship management operations. You possess knowledge and understanding of incident prevention, reporting and investigation. You possess good communication and interpersonal skill. Those without shored experience can be considered.
