This leading organisation is looking for a Manager, Marine Safety & Quality (Deck) to join their Global team in Singapore.
You are responsible for investigating marine accidents and analyzing accident and security data to provide updates to the fleets. Developing of countermeasures, policies, and circulars for accident prevention and learning. Analyzing accident statistics to provide insights to management and advise vessel operations, chartering, and post-fixture teams on safety and security incidents. You will support the shore staff training on board vessels and manage pre-joining briefings for seafarers. You will lead the Crisis Management Centre, maintaining the Crisis Management Plan and conducting drills for maritime incidents.
Requirements
- Degree in Maritime Business or equivalent
- Experience as the Chief Officer on board Container Vessels
- At least 2 years experience as a superintendent/manager (Marine/Manning) in ship management companies or equivalent.
- Good communications and coordination skills to work with teams from diverse backgrounds
- Experience as DPA, Superintendent (Marine or Manning) in Ship management company or related to Maritime Security
- Practical experienced in handling emergencies or casualties on the vessels from the shore headquarters/office
- Experience in studying the data of the incidents and inspecting from the viewpoint of statistics and data science advantageous
